Theatre

Playwright
In development with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company
Length: 75 minutes
Roles: 1 woman, 1 man
The Cut is a gripping two-hander that explores the impact of religious differences on personal choices and relationships. Set in the nursery of their soon-to-arrive baby, Sarah and Andrew—a couple in their 30s—navigate unpacked boxes and emotional baggage when the topic of circumcision ignites a raw debate. What starts as a practical discussion unearths buried wounds, unresolved traumas, and deeply held regrets. Love, faith, and identity collide as Sarah and Andrew confront the complexities of their beliefs—and their relationship—in one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. This intimate play asks: when fundamental values clash, how do we find a path forward together?
