The Cut is my most personal play yet. Sarah (Jewish, pregnant) and Andrew (not Jewish, not pregnant) are surrounded by half-unpacked boxes, baby furniture, and the anxious excitement of all that’s to come. But when the question of circumcision arises, the ordinary quickly turns urgent. Raised in deeply different religious traditions, this couple finds themselves locked in a raw and revealing debate about their baby's future - and their own. What starts as a single decision open into buried wounds, unspoken regrets, and the fault lines of love and belief. The Cut is an intimate, gripping two-hander about faith, identity, and partnership at a breaking point, asking what it truly takes to build a future when fundamental values collide.
