Marion - a busy, working mother - has discovered a devastating secret. What ensues is a gripping and raw confrontation between two women: one woman who's fighting to protect her family, the other fighting for the family she has always wanted.

Between The Sheets was first produced in Toronto by Nightwood Theatre in 2012. Since its world premiere, the play has been produced across Canada and in New Zealand, Slovenia, Iran, and the U.K. The play has been published by Playwrights Canada Press and translated into several languages internationally.

“Think Ibsen for long-range technique; Strindberg for short-haul intensity; and, for kinship of setting and subject, that other seat-clutching classroom duet, David Mamet’s Oleanna... There’s a kind of hush all over the house while it’s playing: the sound of an audience caught, held, rapt.”

- Robert Cushman, The National Post

“Mand’s writing is impeccable as it seamlessly deals with a plethora of issues including betrayal, love, loyalty, responsibility, shame, and guilt, all in the space of just over an hour.”
-Sharu Delilkan, Auckland Theatre Blog

“That's just the beginning of the revelations in Mand's assured debut play, which covers a lot of ground in 60 intense minutes.”
-Martin Morrow, The Globe and Mail
